How to make the perfect Chai Latte
As the nights start to draw in and autumn and winter descend, is there anything more warming and cosy than a comforting chai latte?
Over the years so many of you have asked us to share the secret to making a perfect chai latte at home, so here it is! This is what you’ll need:
Orange Pekoe Chai Tea - our delicious Chai is a blend of black, green and rooibos teas, which have been blended with cinnamon, ginger, orange peel, liquorice root, cardamom, cat's claw, cloves, and pink and black pepper
Milk - any milk works well, dairy or plant-based
Honey - brown sugar also works
Ground cinnamon - a pinch, freshly ground if possible
Once you’ve got your ingredients, you can make your chai latte in three simple steps;
1) Place 1 heaped tsp of chai tea into one of our tea filters and steep in a little hot water in large mug for 4-5 minutes.
2) Meanwhile, heat your milk in a milk pan whisking continuously whilst this is getting warm with a little honey. Once lightly steamed and frothy take off the heat.
3) Remove the steeped tea bag from the mug, add the steamed milk and top with a pinch of freshly ground cinnamon.
Finally, curl up on the sofa or by the fire and enjoy with your favourite book or magazine!
