Altitude: Approx. 610-2,134 metres (2,000-7,000 feet)
Plucking season: Late May, early June
Varietal/cultivar: Assamica and sinensis
Flavour profile: The aroma is of honeyed plums and apricots, and the balanced, rounded flavour combines suggestions of peach skin, almonds and caramelised maple syrup
Best Enjoyed: Black
Traditionally, we have always offered single estate Darjeeling teas as each individual garden has its own distinct character depending on the tea bushes, the position of the particular tea field, the altitude, and the weather. On this occasion however, we have skilfully blended teas from different gardens in order to combine the very best characteristics of each. The result is a truly outstanding tea.
